  • We often want things just because other people have those things
  • 欲望分為 2 種層次 — 由外而內 (模仿) v.s 由內而外 (發自內心) — 而我們的「欲望」通常不是源於自己的內心深處,而是「模仿」身邊其他人的欲望,我們往往渴望著別人也同樣渴望的事物 (例如交朋友的方式、職業、感情、穿搭品味等等)。如果我們可以將那些可能因模仿而生的欲望,轉變成有意識、符合自我的欲望,將能幫助我們更有意識地選擇與經營最適合自己的生活方式,而這些獨一無二的個人特質也將塑造更有魅力與智慧的自己
