Things I Learned This Week

• Tethering (網路共享/行動熱點) is the process of sharing your mobile device’s internet connection with other devices via Wi-Fi, USB, or Bluetooth. Wi-Fi tethering turns your phone into a hotspot for multiple devices but consumes more battery; USB tethering offers a fast and stable one-to-one connection while charging your phone; Bluetooth tethering is slower but energy-efficient for light use.
• In 台積電（TSMC）, AP7 stands for Administrative Pod 7, indicating a specific office or admin building. AP buildings are used for administrative tasks like HR, meetings, and support functions. Other common TSMC codes include FAB (Fabrication plant for chip production), BP (Base Pod for utilities or support areas), and RP (Research Pod for R&D). These codes help organize space across TSMC’s large campuses.
